Get a delivery receipt

Proof your fax arrived: the date, the time and the pages delivered, on a page you can download as a PDF.

Every delivered fax has a delivery receipt. Open the fax's page and press Delivery receipt, or use the link in the email we send when it's delivered. Press Download receipt to save it as a PDF.

What it shows

  • When it was delivered and how many pages went through, like “Delivered on Oct 10, 2026 at 2:41 PM ET. 3 of 3 pages delivered.”
  • The recipient's fax number and name, who sent it and the number it was sent from.
  • When it was sent, how long it took and how many attempts it needed.
  • A fax ID, like FX-1A2B-3C4D, to quote if you write to us.

“Delivered” means the receiving fax machine accepted the pages. The receipt doesn't show who read them.

The receipt stays available after we delete the fax's documents, 30 days after sending. Only you can see it.

If the recipient says it didn't arrive

  • Send them the receipt, with the date and time.
  • Ask them to check that fax line at that time. Many offices receive faxes in a shared email inbox or on a machine in another room.
  • Check that the recipient's fax number on the receipt is the one they gave you.
