Add a cover page

An optional first page with who the fax is for, who it's from and a short note.

A cover page is the first page of a fax. It tells the recipient who the fax is from and what it's about, which helps when a fax machine is shared by a whole office. It's optional and counts as one page.

What you can add

Every field is optional, and the preview shows the page as you type.

  • From: your name or your company's name.
  • Your phone number, so the recipient can reach you.
  • To: a person or department.
  • Subject: what the fax is about.
  • Note: up to 1,000 characters. A long note is cut off at the end of the page.

The page also shows the recipient's fax number, the date and the number of pages. If you're signed in, From and your phone number are filled in from Settings.

No cover page

Press Skip cover page. If you had added one, skipping removes it. Faxes sent by email never have a cover page.
